The postcards that I have received over the years, through penpals, swaps and of course, postcrossing. :) And you may notice a lot of fairies and such. I admit it. I'm obsessed. :)

St Wendel Stadtansichten is what it says on the front, but I don't really know what that means. I think that it is the city of St Wendel in the historic area of Stadtansichten, but really, I'm not sure. Neat building! Thanks Lara! DE-103436

A National Geograohic card, it says "Elefantenbullen beim spielerischen Kräftemessen, Afrika" at the bottom. All I really get out of that is Africa and elephant... Thanks Kirsten! DE-108065

A pretty butterfly - I don't know what it says though! Is Glück luck? Anyways, if you feel like translating for me:
Glück ist ein Schmetterling. Jag ihm nach und er entwischt dir, setz dich hin, und er lässt sich auf deiner schulter nieder.

Another UYI tag - have I mentioned that I love these things?? I have? Well, I'll mention it again then. I love this tag! :) This card was in response to my request for LOL (I was in a good mood, what can I say??). And may I present Light On Land! Now, I'll admit, I'm not normally a fan of lighthouses - they appear quite dull most of the time. But I like this one! It looks like a castle, or at least a turret. :D Thank you Anja!

Pretty flowers! They all look like wildflowers. Wouldn't it be great to have a yard full of wildflowers like that? The only problem with it would be that I would probably get a bunch of thistle and dandelion in there and it would look more like a field of weeds than a field of flowers. Wait! It already does!!! :) Thank you Ramona - I'll picture this in my head instead of all the weeds in my yard :) DE-366827

Hey there everyone! I thought about crawling into bed and never leaving again earlier this week, but it seems that I am still alive. I hate the flu. :( Anyways, I really should be doing some sort of chore, but I am pretty tired, so I figured that I would do a chore I tend to avoid - "finding my desk under all the clutter on it." Well a big part of that is postcards! So here we go, and I am doing a chore, wink, wink, nudge, nudge :DI got this cutie in a tag, and while ad cards can be so blah, I really like this one. There are times I really wish I could do black hair, and that I had a crazy hair budget - I love the green (especially with the black) :D. Ah well, just to admire then :D Thanks Martze!

This has to be one of the nicest castles around - it's straight out of a fairy tale. But I might just think that since this is the castle that Disney based their castle on - and who doesn't know that castle! :) This castle is Castle Neuschwanstein, and is located in southwest Bavaria, Germany. It was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat. It was also homage to Richard Wagner, the king's muse. Thank you very much Judit and hingisz! :)

Alright, I think one last one, since I need to tidy up my house... This one is from Halle (Saale). Um what? Wikipedia, help me out! Aha! It says that there is another Halle in North Rhine-Westphalia. This one is in Saxony-Anhalt. So Halle (Salle) is Halle an der Salle (Halle on the Salle (river) ). Nope! Not confusing!! :D Anyways, Halle has a gorgeous fountain and neat enough buses/trolleys that my kids tried to steal the card when I got it :D Thanks Manuela!

The bottom of the card says "Schlosspark Sanssouci in Potsdam" Potsdam is the capital city of the state of Brandenburg. Schloss Sanssouci is a palace of the Prussian royal and German imperial family. Thank you wikipedia! :) Gorgeous statue, thank you Fabi :)
