The Spirit of America
On back: "Blue Angels: The mission of the Blue Angels is to enhance Navy recruiting, and credibly represent Navy and Marine corps aviation to teh United States and its Armed Forces to America and other countries as international ambassadors of good will." Thanks Grandma!
The postcards that I have received over the years, through penpals, swaps and of course, postcrossing. :) And you may notice a lot of fairies and such. I admit it. I'm obsessed. :)

Conservatory of Flowers - Golden Gate Park
This is a card that the send finds magical - the building is over 100 yrs old, and she finds it a source of inspiration. You can see her stuff here: www.judywatt.com

N's Postcards - 27
This card shows a San Francisco cable car climbing a really big hill. I imagine that is Alcatraz on the island in the background. The stamp on the clouds (I have no idea why they put it there...) says July 7, 2007. From an Aunt and Uncle and cousin on holiday.

San Francisco - "The city at the end of the rainbow." Well, it certainly makes a nice picture! :) From family that went visiting.

An Anne Taintor card :) I refuse to let common sense cloud my judgement - and that is so true :D. Though sometimes I try, it's mostly when it is too expensive. When there are fairly important repairs to be done on your home, you need to be able to save money. BUT, I do get to buy flowers, because that'll help protect the other side of the house. :) I still win :D. Thank you Suzanne from the favorites album tag :)

Another card from Ken and his family. He said that when they drove to San Fran, they could only see the peaks of the bridge, which would have made it foggier than in this picture! Thank Ken & Cheryl & Calla.

The legend of the sand dollar:The sand dollar, no intrinsic value has he
Only reminders of our Lord, up from the sea
Four little holes for the nails which held him to die
Another hole too, where the spear pierced his side
A star for the manger, a bell to ring
And inside five doves, his praises to sing.

Interesting how you can find symbolism wherever you look - if you look hard enough. Thanks Mom!

Picture of Los Angeles all lit up. Mom sent this on her way through to a cruise in the caribbean (I am SOOOOO jealous) :P Well not really. I don't think that I am ready to take two small children on a cruise - especially without someone else to help watch them. I also don't think I am quite ready to leave them behind for a week. :) Thanks Mom!

Such a pretty picture! This is Nevada Fall, in Yosemite National Park, California. I may need to try to get there. This is gorgeous! Thanks Tanya!

Cute fuzzy koala. Cute fuzzy BABY koala? Does it get cuter? But check out those nails - I won't hug him anytime soon! :D Thanks Meghan for another beautiful postcard from San Diego Zoo!

Wild animal park in San Diego Zoo from Meaghan. The clouds look really neat. Almost makes you forget that there are animals down at the bottom (they are really small after all!)
