The Beechnut Fairy by Cicely Mary Barker
Such a sweet little fairy, I love the dresses, and her hat? Too cute :) Thanks Rose! CA-128386

A wonderful holography card of Tink and some of her friends. :) Looks so much better in person! Thanks Tash!

"Midnight Rainbow" by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. From N it is completely fitting as they are obsessed with rainbows. Well not so much anymore - apparently rainbows aren't boy-ish enough, and they have settled on green and blue. I knda miss the days when purple was the favorite - that made it wonderful when I found something in that colour!

"Starry Night Fairy" by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. Her fairies are so cute - gotta love those eyes. :) I also like how these wings are monarch-esque. Monarchs are amazing butterflies. Have you heard about their migration pattern? The one that spans GENERATIONS? Yeah. Crazy. :) Thanks N!

A nice winter fairy snuggling a bunny. "Snow Bunny" by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. Much cuter than the skiing kind! :) Thanks T!

Black and white fairy by Delphine Lévesque Demers. This one is also from the hubby - though all he writes on it is that there's a thorny rose - just like his thorny wife! I'm not thorny, though I am pretty as a rose. :D

So, you may be wondering why only my sons postcards have been coming up the last few months. I am actually a bit surprised at how far behind I am! But I have a decent reason - we have a new baby. :) A little girl to mix it up with a the guy stuff. :) There have been a few people who have requested trades - don't worry, I still have the messages. When I am a bit more caught up, you'll hear from me!

I also would like to work on improving the blog - does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

So this postcard here, I got for my birthday. My birthday was 6 months and 2 days ago. Nope, I'm not at all behind! All it says on the back is zazzle (which is an awesome place to get odd postcards - though they can be a bit pricey). Unfortunately, I have no idea who the artist is :( The signature got cropped - it's in the bottom right and all I can see if K.

Now if you've seen the other cards my hubby has given me, you know he writes something fun, and here it is:
"Exhausted, Alyssya slumped forward. 'Are they still following?' she thought. Henstritch, her oldest and closest ally from the eight courts, was crossing a stream for what seemed the twentieth time. He was attempting to throw off the Huntress, but the effort seemed hopeless.
'Shall we rest?' he sent to Alyssya.
'Please, just a little further...' "

My other card from T, this one shows "Camouflage #1" by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. It is a neat card - I love the graffiti on her wings. Though we then had to explain WHY she would have graffiti on her wings... :)

This card found its way to me on Mother's day, this one is from my son T. She's gorgeous, and I love her dress! :) The art is done by Hidden Realms - you can find her work (and buy it!) here: www.zazzle.com/hiddenrealms

PFF - Gathering flowers for Mom

Well, with the theme being mother's day (Happy Mother's Day Moms!!!) I figured that this sweet little thing would be perfect. It looks like she is taking great care in choosing her flowers for the bouquet in her hand - and who would love it more than mom? :) Happy PFF!

Update: The art is called "Shelter for my friend" by Robin Pushe'e (c) 2009. :)

Roses - PFF

Beth has some gorgeous roses up for show today, as well as a bit about, um, going a-mothering. I had never even heard of this till now - we have Mother's Day, in May. And here, it seems more a day to sell cards than to see our moms. Ah well.
I figured I would go with the roses, since I don't have mother's day cards (and I doubt I would find any - holiday of any sort cards are hard to find!). I went through my cards, and said, where are all my roses? I LOVE roses! Why do I have a million crocus cards and no roses? Well, I finally found one, with one of my give-away fairies. I really did think I had rose cards - otherwise I would have looked here earlier. :D
This lovely lady is an Amy Brown creation called "Rose Red"
Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!

Tinkerbell card, in French, from Japan. I really must say, that made my day. :) Especially since I see Tinkerbell as soooo American, even though Disney is pretty international now.
"Le présent à vous
Le cadeau n'a pas une grande signification; ce qui est essentiel c'est de transmettre le coeur."
What it means is, basically, it's not the gift that matters, it's the love of the gift - or the thought. :) Thank you Aiko! JP-95385

This is a holographic/foil card - I think it turned out decent - you can still see the shape! It's a pretty fairy, called The Crystal Vision by Christine Haworth. Thank you JoJo CA-92429

More beautiful fairies from Christmas, by Nene Thomas. :) This one is also from my hubby, and he wrote on the back:
" 'Gracious! I had better book a pedicure soon, before I pop this bubble!' *POP!* "
Speaking of which, I would like a pedicure, but I think I need to have a home style one. Maybe I should organize a pedi-party - we can stink up the living room with nail polish fumes!! :D (Actually that sounds fun. When do I have some time???)

Another wonderful fairy by Mika Jelina, from my wonderful husband!! :) And another story from him:
"The faerie stared at Chad expectantly, as if waiting to see what *he* was going to do. Chad had thought he was alone in his masters library. He has unknowingly surprised her, catching her reading the very forbidden tome he himself had come to study. Belatedly he realized that she was trying to entrance him with her deep eyes.
"Smiling he quipped 'Move over Shandra, you know I'm not leaving, so we might as well study it together.'
"Harrumphing to hide her traitorous, growing pleasure, Shandra grudgingly shared her pillow..."

Lily of the valley are such pretty flowers, wouldn't you say? And fairies are just gorgeous. :D The card is a little more vibrant than it looks here (and sparkly), but I love how you can see the texture in the leaves now (which is a little hard to see in the card). Thanks Johanna!

This is a wonderful card - I love how it makes the fairies seem playful - and more butterfly like. You could definitely see how they could be mischievous, as so many of the stories say. The art is called The Fairies Dance by Linda Peltola (www.lindapeltola.com) :) Thank you Sari!

Another wonderful Rudolf Koivu card! Not quite a fairy, though she is flying and acting fairy godmother-ish :D Thank you Sari!! :D
